Product
Read newsletter archives yourself, or let your AI agent do it.
Inkling holds the issues of nearly 18,000 public newsletters, updated hourly. Search newsletters by name, read every issue in a web app, and connect your AI agent over MCP.
Find newsletters
Search by name, or page through all of them.
Type the name of a newsletter and find it. Or page through the whole list in a table, to see what is there.
- Nearly 18,000 public newsletters, mostly Substack and similar
- Search is by newsletter name: there is no full-text search across issue text yet
- Free and public content only: paywalled posts appear as their free preview

The latest issue, and every one before it.

MCP server
Your AI agent reads newsletters too.
Inkling has an MCP server at inklingdata.com/mcp. Connect Claude, Codex or any MCP client, log in once, and your agent can search newsletters, list a newsletter's issues and fetch any full issue.
- Four tools: search_newsletters, get_newsletter, list_issues, get_issue
- Log in with your Inkling account over OAuth
- Your agent does the reading, and you ask the questions
One URL connects your agent
Issue format
Every issue as clean markdown.
An issue comes back as markdown with YAML frontmatter: title, newsletter, author, publication date, permalink and word counts. When the issue is also a podcast episode, the transcript is included.
- Easy for an agent to read, quote and cite
- The permalink points to the original
- Word counts help an agent decide what to read in full
Always current
Updated every hour.
New issues are added hourly from a corpus that follows public newsletters as they publish. The archive goes back to 2000.
- Nearly 2 million issues
- New issues within the hour
- Sourced from Sputnik Intelligence, our sister product
Use cases
What people use Inkling for
AI and agent builders
Give your agent a newsletter corpus to search and read over MCP, instead of scraping feeds and keeping your own archive. Every issue comes back as markdown with the metadata an agent needs to cite it.
Analysts and researchers
Follow a space through the archives of the experts who write in it. Ask your agent to read a newsletter's last twenty issues and summarize how its view changed.
Marketing, PR and content teams
See what the top newsletters in a category actually write about, in their own words, before you pitch a writer or position a product.
Looking at other tools too? Read the comparison pages. They say what each tool is good at, including where Inkling is not the right fit: for example, Reletter has a larger index with alerts and contacts, and Inkling has no full-text search yet.
Give your AI agent every newsletter issue.
